“Between us all, we must endeavour for water to be a source of peace,” and the Expo must be “a place to meet, where problems are debated, but above all where solutions are contributed,” thus are summarised the conclusions of the four working groups where the subject of water and sustainable development as a goal for the 21st century was debated today. |

The secretary general of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), Vicente González Loscertales, expressed his satisfaction at the work philosophy characterizing the conference that has been taking place in Zaragoza since yesterday. According to González, this coincides “fully with the criteria that the BIE believe an exposition ought to have.” Among other things, he underlined the conclusion drawn by most of the work groups, which was that “education” was one of the prime objectives of an international exhibition such as the Expo. |
